Connie Sloane obtained her 200 hr. teacher certification from the Yoga Training Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2006 with over 1,000 teaching hours to her credit. She specializes in working with individuals 50 years and older, teaching both chair and mat yoga. Her teaching style consists of a gentle approach meeting each student where they are and guiding them into a deeper practice at a pace that is comfortable for them. The asanas she teaches are from a therapeutic standpoint, as they address specific physical ailments as well as help with stress reduction, depression and anxiety. Her classes begin with Pranayama breathing and end with a guided meditation.
Regardless if an individual learns yoga in a chair or on the mat, under Connie’s guidance and instruction, they will reap the many benefits this practice has to offer.
