Dynamic Alignment Yoga Teacher
Stacy discovered yoga in 2009 during a transitional and unstable time in her life – just after graduating from college. Racked with anxiety and questions about the future, she attended her first yoga class and was taught to tune into her body and breath and quiet the mind. In hardly anytime at all, yoga became an anchor and a solace in Stacy’s life. She quickly learned that the qualities cultivated and lessons learned on the mat could be transferred OFF the mat and into everyday life. She has been exploring of asana, meditation, and pranayama ever since, and completed her 200-hour teacher training with Gina Minyard in 2014.
Alignment-based yoga is the methodology Stacy currently practices, studies, and teaches, although she has also spent time practicing ashtanga and vinyasa flow. Stacy is so grateful to have the opportunity to bring the joy of practice to new students that might need it as much as she did when she started, and she’s eager to help you learn and discover the sweet subtleties of practice.
Stacy believes that the transformational practice of yoga can help any committed practitioner to develop strength, freedom, and quiet inner space. At the heart of practice is the possibility to unite with your highest self, and getting to know that self is integral to bringing more happiness and love not only to yourself, but also to those around you.
In addition to teaching yoga, Stacy holds a Health Coaching Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She practices a holistic approach to health and wellness. This means that in addition to working with nutrition, she considers how all areas of life are intertwined to support greater health, vitality, and happiness. Stacy supports each client in achieving simple diet, lifestyle, and mindset changes, resulting in a sustainable wellness transformation! Stacy is also a Level 2 Reiki practitioner. In her spare time, she enjoys studying natural wellness, as well as seeing live music, visiting the local crystal shop, traveling, and of course spending ample cuddle time with her dog, cat, and husband.
